Celebrating local food in person and online

ORGANISERS of the annual Taste of Shetland food festival were delighted to once again welcome the public to the popular event, held at the Clickimin Leisure Centre on Saturday. 

After having to go online last year due to Covid restrictions, promotion company Shetland Food and Drink dished up a hybrid event that could be enjoyed in person and also online on the organisation’s website.

There were the usual stalls from local producers, tasty refreshments, cooking demonstrations and, as a highlight this year, the launch of the newly branded taste of Shetland trailer which will be used to showcase local food.

It is equipped for preparing, cooking and sharing local produce, and it will be available for hire by Shetland Food and Drink member businesses and community groups.
