Mussel farming firm hopes for Fruitful Harvest as two new workboats arrive
THE UK’S largest mussel farming business has taken ownership of two new workboats. Blueshell Mussels took delivery of the Fruitful Harvest and Fruitful Boughover the weekend, which will operate from the company’s sites around the isles. Principal contractor on Viking project to be sentenced in relation to man’s death
THE PRINCIPAL contractor on the Viking Energy wind farm will be sentenced in Lerwick next week in relation to the death of a 23-year-old working on the project in 2022. High winds set to affect NorthLink and inter-island ferry sailings
FORECASTED high winds for today (Saturday) and Sunday are set to affect NorthLink’s ferry sailings. The Hrossey will leave Lerwick at 5.30pm tonight, instead of 7pm, and could be delayed arriving in to Aberdeen tomorrow. Read more Shetland News …

A FEMALE cyclist is in a serious condition in hospital in Aberdeen after she came off her tricycle on Lerwick’s Ladies Drive at around lunchtime on Monday. Police closed parts of the road yesterday as the woman was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital. Read more

NHS Shetland is still confident the isles will get a new hospital, despite the Scottish Government having to fund £10 million in urgent repairs to the Gilbert Bain.
